Incontri d'autore - I Palazzi dei Rolli

As part of the series Incontri d'autore: radici e futuro, on Tuesday 10 February starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Teatro Ivo Chiesa in Genoa, the city celebrates the 20th anniversary of the inscription of “Genoa: Le Strade Nuove and the system of the Palazzi dei Rolli” on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Since 16 July 2006, this recognition has acknowledged the outstanding universal value of a unique urban and architectural system, emblematic of the cultural, social, and economic identity of Renaissance and Baroque Genoa.

This event is the second meeting in the series of talks promoted by the University of Genoa and the Festival della Comunicazione, conceived by Fabrizio Benente (Deputy Rector for Third Mission: outreach, communication, public engagement and social impact) and Danco Singer (Director of the Festival della Comunicazione in Camogli), with the involvement of UniGe Senior and Genova University Press, which on this occasion will present its volumes dedicated to the Palazzi dei Rolli and the city’s artistic heritage.

The speakers in this dialogue will be Maria Clelia Galassi (Full Professor of Art History at the University of Genoa) and Giacomo Montanari (Councillor for Culture of the Municipality of Genoa). They will offer an in-depth reflection on the meaning of cultural heritage and its role in contemporary urban life: a Genoa capable of innovation, dialogue with the present, and the development of urban and social models of extraordinary modernity.

Registration is required to attend via this link.

We look forward to seeing you!
