Un volume che intende festeggiare la conclusione dell’attività accademica di Maria Clelia Galassi, raccogliendo una serie di suoi scritti che ripercorrono i temi più cari della sua ricerca, nell’ambito della storia della cultura figurativa ligure tra Quattro e Seicento, della storia del restauro in Liguria tra Otto e Novecento e della storia delle relazioni tra Fiandre e Genova nel Quattro e Cinquecento.

This volume brings together a series of articles and essays by Maria Clelia Galassi to celebrate the end of her academic career. The selected essays trace the most important themes of her research, in the field of the history of Ligurian painting (from the XVth to the XVIIth centuries), the history of conservation in the XIXth century and the history of relations between Flanders and Genoa in the XVth and XVIth centuries.

Maria Clelia Galassi è stata professoressa ordinaria di storia dell’arte all’Università di Genova. Visiting professor presso le università di Bruxelles e di Ghent, ha ottenuto fellowships presso il CASVA di Washington e il Flemish Academic Center di Bruxelles. È presente in campo nazionale e internazionale con studi sulle relazioni artistiche tra Italia e Fiandre e su temi di storia sociale e tecnica dell’arte.

Maria Clelia Galassi was a full professor of art history at the University of Genoa. A visiting professor at the universities of Brussels and Ghent, she has been awarded fellowships at CASVA in Washington and the Flemish Academic Center in Brussels. She is active nationally and internationally with studies on artistic relations between Italy and Flanders and on topics of social history and art technique.
